Engineering Product
Design & Development.

Four core services support the journey from an engineering need to a developed product: Mechanical Design, Product Development, Manufacturing Support and Technical Problem Solving. Work can be commissioned at a specific stage or across the full programme.

SERVICE

Mechanical Design

Design components, mechanisms, assemblies, mechanical products and subsystems around their intended function.

We translate requirements into an engineered design, resolving geometry, materials, interfaces and assembly. Our work includes 3D CAD modelling, 2D engineering drawings and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) where required by the project.

  • Concept and detailed mechanical design
  • 3D CAD parts, mechanisms and assemblies
  • 2D manufacturing and assembly drawings
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Material and process selection, tolerances and BOMs
TYPICAL RESULT

An agreed mechanical design package with its CAD, drawings, analysis and release information defined by the scope.

Useful inputs for a quotation

Purpose, functional requirements, operating conditions, interfaces, available files, constraints and required deliverables.

SERVICE

Product Development

Take a product from an identified need or idea through development and production readiness.

We connect requirements, concepts, design decisions, prototypes and verification evidence throughout a development programme. Customers can commission an individual stage or a complete programme, with agreed responsibilities, review points and deliverables.

  • Product brief, requirements and commercial objectives
  • Concept generation, comparison and selection
  • Product architecture and detailed engineering
  • Prototype planning and manufacture coordination
  • Verification, validation and design refinement
  • Manufacturing preparation and production release
  • Initial production support and controlled changes
TYPICAL RESULT

A developed product and the engineering package for its agreed stage, supported by recorded decisions and verification evidence.

Useful inputs for a quotation

The customer need, intended use, functional goals, constraints, target timing, commercial objectives and available references.

SERVICE

Manufacturing Support

Connect the engineered design with the people and processes that will make and assemble it.

We support manufacturing readiness, supplier interfaces and technical queries across suitable production processes. The service focuses on engineering information, manufacturability and assembly, with delivery coordination included in the agreed scope.

  • Design for manufacture and assembly
  • Manufacturing drawings, BOMs and production information
  • Material, process and supplier technical coordination
  • Manufacturing-query resolution and design changes
  • Initial manufacture, assembly and production-release support
TYPICAL RESULT

Usable production information, resolved technical queries and controlled updates to the design.

Useful inputs for a quotation

Design files, manufacturing requirements, supplier capabilities, quantities, production concerns and the technical support required.

SERVICE

Technical Problem Solving

Investigate an engineering concern, evaluate options and establish a practical route to improvement.

We provide technical reviews, problem-solving and engineering advice. An assignment can focus on understanding an issue, assessing a design or developing a corrective solution, with the evidence and deliverables agreed at the start.

  • Independent design reviews and technical assessments
  • Engineering investigations and root-cause support
  • FEA-led assessment where required
  • Performance, cost and manufacturability improvement
  • Recommendations and corrective-design support
TYPICAL RESULT

Documented findings, recommendations and an agreed engineering action plan or corrective-design package.

Useful inputs for a quotation

The engineering question, available evidence, design history, operating conditions, relevant files and the decision or outcome required.

02 / BEFORE WE BEGIN

A few useful answers.

Can we start with an incomplete idea?

Yes. Share the problem, the intended use and the information you already have. The first scope may focus on clarifying requirements or developing a concept.

How is the price established?

The quotation follows the agreed deliverables, input quality, technical requirements and estimated effort. Revision allowances and payment milestones are stated before work starts.

Can you work with our manufacturer?

Supplier coordination and manufacturing-query support can be included. The information needed, communication responsibilities and review points are agreed as part of the scope.

What files will we receive?

File formats are agreed before quoting. Depending on the scope, the package may include CAD, PDF drawings, a bill of materials and fabrication files.

Can you provide ongoing engineering support?

Yes. A recurring arrangement can provide agreed capacity across our four services, with priorities, review responsibilities and delivery expectations established in advance.
